***RULES*** (07.04.2008)

1. NO SPAMMING: Posting threads or material that is not related to the board or thread topic. Posting material that has no meaning, i. e. random numbers/letters. Posting in large, flashy text(s) for no purpose. Posting smilies, icons, etc. for no reason. If someone has posted something you feel is spam, notify a member of staff through PM so they may take corrective action. Do not post comments towards someone in the forums, it adds more unnecessary content that other readers don't want to sift through.

2. NO FLAMING: Excessive and unacceptable cursing at another person. Racist/Sexist remarks, insults aimed towards another member or their religion. Just a few to name but I believe that most people understand how to treat others with respect.

3. DOUBLE POSTING AND OLD THREADS: I don't have a problem with double posting as long as it's been awhile since your last post on a topic and you're doing an update with information that's new. If, for example, it's only been three days since your last post on a topic then you need to edit your last post. Otherwise you may receive a warning. Digging up old threads and posting on them is welcome here as long as you're posting according to the topic of discussion. We'd rather keep discussions on a particular topic together instead of chasing down multiple threads on the same thing.

4. NO ILLEGAL CONTENT: Download materials such as video clips, music files, photos, pornography, piracy, computer software programs, etc. The promotion of all these things and more are not welcome here. I'm sure everyone has either been online long enough or heard on the news enough times about what's illegal on the internet and what's not. This is a serious offense, so don't do them on my forum. An immediate ban will be issued towards those who do.

5. ENGLISH ONLY: Your administrator speaks only one language fluently. English. I have to be able to understand what I'm administrating, hence the reason for this rule. Reference links to other sites for news and information not provided in English will be allowed. It will also be helpful and very appreciated if members are able to provide a bit of translation to those links, but not a requirement.

6. NEWS & INFO POSTS: If you post a news or information topic on a celebrity, please make sure you have proof/evidence that what you are posting is not a rumor nor something that has no truth. Helping fan the flames of untruth is not something that is welcome here. Everyone is human and doesn't like it when false information is spread about them, so please be careful what you're posting and be respectful to whom you're posting about.

7. FORUM PROVIDER'S TERMS OF SERVICE: FanAsia is not hosted independently by any individual. The host provider, FORUMOTION, has a set of terms of service that also need to be followed on FanAsia in order for the forum to avoid termination. Their TOS can be found HERE.
